Banu Pendant with Aquamarine 18K Gold Plated - Cleopatra's Bling
The Banu Pendant is an ancient gold coin pendant, surrounded by five aquamarine gems.
It is named for the warrior heroine Banu Goshasp of Iranian mythology, who was such a powerful adversary she came close to slaying her father on the battlefield due to not recognising him beneath his armour. Luckily father and daughter recognised each other in time, but this was not the end of her fierce fight for independence. She was encouraged by her family to marry, but she wished to remain free, and so promised only to do so with the man who could best her in battle. Only the hero Giv came out victorious, and so they wed, and together bore a son: the hero Bijan.
