Painted Binga Baskets

Handwoven by Tonga artisans in the Binga region of Zimbabwe, these baskets are made using ilala palm leaf in a traditional over-and-under circular weave — a craft passed down through generations and historically used for carrying and winnowing grain. Each one is then hand-painted in bold Mustard, Green or Brown, with pattern and finish varying slightly basket to basket as part of the handmade process.

Available in three colourways and four sizes, from 38–40cm up to a statement 70cm, they bring warmth, texture and a pop of colour to a console table, floor corner, or gallery wall grouping.
